Nice work, especially on the undercarriage conversion! I'm currently building the same kit, and wondering if you worked out what part #40 was for? It's one of the seven which don't appear at all on the instructions. I've worked out that the other six are for the E-3D – the RAF variant of the plane – but I can't work out what #40 is from. It's a ventral fin.

It takes a bunch of BONE HEAD to scarp a project like that because of political reason. Defenbaker should have been shot for this.

Nice looking model. I have just completed one in a similar paint scheme. My father retired after 28 years in the RCAF. His last post was in North Bay, 414 Sqn, where he worked on this plane.

I am now working on a CF-104, later low-vis paint scheme, like from when we were in Baden-Soelligen.

Many Thanks.
The decals are stock items from the Monogram kit mentioned in the post. The plane is made as supplied in the kit; the other decal option was for the Oregon ANG, I believe.

Nice job. I'm curious where or how you came up with the 119th tail flash decal with Teddy Roosevelt.

Nice work. You can improve the looks of your deck by using planks of real wood (I would try 1/64" plywood tinted in different shades). Next I suggest you try Revell's 1/96 Cutty Sark. It's a classic and the rigging is even more complicated. I have been working on mine on and off for years. Now, if you are willing to spend a cople of hundred dollars, you my also try Heller's 1/100 H.M.S. Victory. That is a beauty that I will try myself as soon as I am done with the Cutty Sark. An intermediate step would be the beautiful frigate U.S.S. Constitution, by Revell, 1/96 (You can get it for $50 or $60.
Congratulations! I see we both share the same passion for books and models.
